Sgę:nǫˀ!

My name is Kehte Deer. I was brought on by the Six Nations Language Commission (SNLC) to work with language programs and support the integration of curriculum and instructional strategies. My background is in linguistics, focusing on theory, but my work at the SNLC has been much more varied, encompassing language revitalization, the practice and theory of teaching and learning, linguistics as it applies to these areas generally, and even things like social media management.

In this section on the site, I try to contribute to the conversation on the state of our languages here at Six Nations, as well as more broadly across our other Hodinohsyoni territories. Topics may include grammar, revitalization, language in the news, and anything else that seems interesting.

Nya:węh for joining me!
